The presidents of the departments of Essonne, Yvelines and Bouches-du-Rhône accused of having allowed minors placed in ASE to prostitute themselves: “They were left to the dogs”

According to franceinfo , the presidents of the departments of Essonne , Yvelines and Bouches-du-Rhône are facing legal action for not having protected minors entrusted to child welfare services (ASE), some of whom were handed over to prostitution networks .

Mothers have spoken of the tragic fate of their daughters, including Lilas, whose eldest daughter, aged 13, was held captive in an Airbnb in Toulon by pimps: " My daughter spent two weeks in Toulon in an emergency shelter all alone... She was forced to take cocaine and to sell sex ."

Lawyer Michel Amas , who initiated the appeals, denounces a " national phenomenon ": " We are handing children over to the dogs ." He accuses the departments of serious failures in their protection mission.

In Marseille, educator Jennifer Abitbol testifies: " There isn't a single home I haven't visited, where there isn't prostitution... The girls start getting ready from 10 p.m. onwards, some even go out in thongs ." She criticizes the inaction in the face of these abuses and questions the systematic placement: " We're talking about babies... if you behave reassuringly, they follow you ."

A parliamentary report mentions 15,000 minors who are victims of prostitution in France, the majority of whom are in care. The Ministry of Justice has admitted a systemic failure and announced increased controls. Currently, shelters are inspected only every five years , by the departments themselves.
